Games Guidelines for 4th of July
2017 - Game (Smith) Organizing Orders, etc (Nill) Decorating (Campbell)
There are 11 buckets of prizes that must be filled with 75 items in each bucket. 8 buckets are empty as of end of 2017. Prizes can be purchased from oriental trading or Amazon, etc. Dum Dum Lollipops can be purchased, but other candy should be chosen with small children who can choke, and common allergies such as nuts, wheat, and dairy in mind. Prize bags are needed for the children to collect their trinkets. There are plenty left over - see below.
At the end of the party, please inventory and take a photo of what is leftover so that items are not wasted. Send them to sarahcnill@yahoo.com for upload to this site.

Ice Cream Contest - 80 servings of ice cream (coordinate with manager)
Water Balloon Toss - 200 small balloons need to be purchased and filled.
Hoola Hoop Contest - hoola hoops are in good condition at the end of 2017 party
Sack Race - the sacks are in good condition at the end of 2017

All booths were manned by setting up an event on sign up genius and linking a button to this social website
All water items such as sponges and rubber ducks must be soaked briefly in a large tub with water at a cup or two of bleach, dried thoroughly in and returned to the bins. This will prevent having to replace them each year due to mold.

- Fishing Pond - Ducks and Poles are in good condition as they were purchased new for 2017. The holes in the ducks were super glued shut to keep water and mold out.

- Guillotine - all in good condition
- Windward Leeward - nerf torpedoes and plastic megaphone shaped parts are all in good condition
- Wooden Boat Craft - over 100 boats were leftover from 2017 and there are plenty of decorations and parts
- Wooden Boat Race Troughs for above - in good condition
- Phish Phight - rubber fish are significantly moldy at end of 2017

4:30 pm Water Balloon Sailing Marathon.
Make your mark tossing water balloons from your sailboat into the floating inner tube. For all ages and any sailboat. (bring lifejacket and swimsuit)
9:00 pm Teen Movie Night with Popcorn and Candy.
An outdoor movie night for teens showing a rated PG-13 movie. Participation determined by child's parent. (bring lawn chair / blanket)
Tuesday July 4th
2:30 pm Capture the American Flag and Corn Hole
4:00 pm Sno-Cones, Drinks, and other Snacks
4:30 pm Decorate your Sailboat for the American Flag Sailing Adventure
. Show off your sailboat's decorations while trying your luck sailing around red, white, and blue islands to stake your claim with your boat's flag. For all ages and any sailboat. (bring lifejacket and swimsuit)
Wednesday July 5th
9:00 am Mini-Triathalon with a Bloody Mary Finish.
Compete or come just for fun. Enjoy an adult beverage or a virgin Bloody Mary on the Yacht Club deck after your hard-earned finish. Swim time is approximately 30 minutes, bike time about 45 minutes, and run is approximately 1 hour.
2:30 pm Sailboat 2-D Craft
- Paper crafting fun on a canvas board. Adult partner recommend for kids under 10. REQUIRES SIGN UP
4:00 pm Cotton Candy, Drinks, and other Snacks
5:00 pm Wednesday Night Sailboat Races
6:30 pm Pitch-in Dinner with Bingo and a Flowing Chocolate Fountain
8:00 pm Fire and S-More's. (bring blanket / lawn chair)

Travel by car to a favorite spot with the "Chain Gang" to bicycle on rail trails. Meet in the parking YC parking lot. Event ends at theYacht Club at approximately 5:00 pm.

All events start and end at the Deep Creek Yacht Club at Turkey Neck.
